I am the youngest of four girls in a Kansas family that is very creative and artistic. My mother, who is a musician by trade and my father, who is a musician by choice, have always made the arts a central part of our lives. 

I came to art direction via journalism. I started my career as a journalist, editing stories and writing headlines, but I soon found my calling on the design side. My years working for newspapers from Denver to Philadelphia to Austin to Fort Worth taught me a love for storytelling, collaboration and an ability to adapt and work fast. I love to collaborate with my creative team to find just the right imagery to tell a story and have fun along the way.
